Hyperspace Arcade Services is more than just another arcade sales and repair company. Our goal is to strive for more, providing the most thorough diagnostics and repair anywhere as well as the best reconditioned machines on the market today.

Hyperspace was born from the ashes of where the other amusement companies dropped the ball with arcade video games. Instead of getting into the business seeing a chance to make a buck, we got into the business to give gamers the quality they deserve. We are gamers, too, after all.

Scott - Owner, Head Technician

Instantly hooked on video games from the first time he played Pac-Man as a 5 year old child, Scott Patterson has done a little bit of everything in his young life, able to lay claim to retail management, a radio personality, previous owner of a collectible toy business, a journalism major, and even a professional wrestler. But through it all, Scott's first love has always been video games.

In 1994, Scott was starting college and finally had a place of his own, and before even owning a bed he purchased three classic arcade games out of an ad in the paper. Being a lifelong fan of these machines, he already knew the ins and outs of how to play almost any game, even making it to the semi-finals of the Dallas leg of the Nintendo World Championships in 1990. But it wasn't long owning games that Scott learned they need to be taken care of inside as well. Being unable to find anyone who could help, he picked it up himself and began to study everything he could get his hands on about electronics and these large game machines.

In 2005, Scott turned a longtime hobby into Hyperspace Arcade Services after he began to learn of many who had a need for such services. Other companies wouldn't fix the games right or not at all, and wanted to charge an arm and a leg, and didn't do housecalls. Hyperspace changed all that, providing detailed On-Site Repair services across North Texas, and starting in 2007, righting the wrongs of other companies who had been selling junk games to consumers by offering the best in Professionally Refurbished Arcade Video Games anywhere.

Scott serves as the head technician of Hyperspace Arcade Services, providing all the On-Site Repair calls for the company, as well as heading up the refurbishing of machines for sale, purchasing and more.

It is Scott's goal to treat every customer as he wishes to be treated and every game as if it's his own.

Melissa - Office Manager

A graduate of the University of North Texas, Melissa brings years of office experience and marketing to Hyperspace Arcade Services. With her earliest memories of video games being of playing Moon Patrol and Q*bert at the long-gone Mesquite, TX Aladdin's Castle arcade, ending up with games as part of her everyday life came as a suprise to even her.

Melissa heads up the office part of the business, including keeping the books, ordering needed supplies, helping to plan market strategies, and at times helping with game restorations herself, including a big role in the final touches of the totally restored Stargate arcade game that Hyperspace Arcade Services sold to the National Arcade Museum in Houston, TX in 2007.

It is Melissa's goal to help Hyperspace Arcade Services reach new heights at every opportunity and so far has been quite successful in her role.
