Here at Hyperspace Arcade, we seem to get more questions about games that we have "Coming Soon" than about games we already have prepped for sale. By putting up this link we hope that we can help answer the most common of these questions right here to save all of us some time.
* Q: How much will (game name) be when finished?
* A: Hyperspace Arcade is unlike any other arcade game retailer not only because of the extreme detail we go through to refurbish each machine, but also because of our pricing, which is lower than any other retailer in the US today. Since a large part of our pricing structure is based on what we have put into a game both financially and time-wise, we cannot realistically price a game until it is 100% completed.
* Q: When will (game name) be available for sale?
* A: When a machine is in the process of being completed, we will put up a target date for completion. This is, however, a rough estimate only, and can be delayed by late arriving parts, personal emergencies, scheduling conflicts, and items on a game that don't pass our testing period the first time. If no date estimate appears next to a game on our list then we have no estimate at the time.
* Q: Can I see pictures of (game name) before it is for sale?
* A: No. We see no need to show photos of a game before it's been refurbished, as it will look much different when completed and put up for sale.
* Q: Can you put (game name) on hold for me to buy once completed?
* A: We have considered doing this with a small deposit, but at the present time are not doing so. In the past, we have been told many, many times by people that they would without a shadow of a doubt buy a game once it was ready if we'd hold it for them, only for them to not honor that promise or vanish on us when the time came, giving us a first-come first-serve policy at this time. If you are interested in a game, we can contact you when it is ready for sale.
* Q: Can you find (game name) for me?
* A: We will do our best, but cannot guarantee what machine(s) we will find available at any given time. Keep in mind that due to our pricing structure, we have to find machines for our lineup at certain price points to give us room to Professionally Refurbish them and still price them at the points we do.
* Q: Do you have (game name) at the present time?
* A: All games we have completed or have coming soon are listed on the website and kept up to date. If we do not have it shown, we do not have it at the time.
